ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

Police-Youth Activity League (PAL)

The core goal of the PAL Program is to increase the number of positive, productive interactions, postive role modeling, and mentoring opportunities between police officers and youth through age 17 by spending time at youth centers and engaged in support of youth activities.

The Queen City Police Foundation will fund scholarships that police officers will use as incentive for kids who are interested in making a good choice for an after school sport or program or summer activity, that may be unaffordable or otherwise out of reach. the goal would be to keep the money in Burlington-based programs, including but not limited to: Parks and Recreation Programs, the YMCA, the Burlington Community Sailing Center, Lyric Theater, and Petra Cliffs. Additionally, scholarships could be used toward college programs or classes, or pre-college educational programs.
